Spread over 300 square miles of Sariska Tiger Reserve is one of the last sizable remnants of the dry hilly country which once stretched across the length of the Aravalli hills. This hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Alwar was transformed into a sanctuary in 1955, and when Project Tiger was born in 1979, Sariska Sanctuary was converged into it.

The Sariska Palace is located just outside Sariska National Park and is located at a distance of 190-kms from Delhi and 130-kms from Jaipur, in Rajasthan.
